Self-Esteem (vol. 1, no. 1)

Dear Patients, Colleagues and Friends,

As summer shines on, I am taking advantage of the current transition into the upcoming season of La Rentrée to make a test-run of sorts and introduce the first issue of the Life & Times Update (really! it's the very first issue, in its earliest incarnation...you'll have to check back to watch the evolution that occurred over time), a quarterly newsletter providing information on various topics that may be a resource to you or others you know. Some of you may already be familiar with this little project as it started as a quarterly mailing. You can now access this publication directly on the web!

Each four-page issue will be structured in a similar manner with an introduction, a general discussion and sections dealing with various aspects of the chosen topic. The mailing will continue - this new version just enhances access and makes it easy to share with friends and family. (If you would like to be added to the mailing list, just send me an email message requesting the Life &Times by mail.)

The first issue to land in cyberspace deals with Self-Concept, a common area of awareness and discussion in North America and a puzzle to some outside of the American culture. A look inside will provide you with a definition and ways in which one might improve and maintain a strong sense of self worth.

Launched alongside the Life & Times Update is an updated web presence to stay current with the calendar of activities on the main website, aixcentreville.blogspot.com .

Check back as often as you like. The next step is a blog and Twitter account. But this process will unfold one step at a time.
